The itinerary within the excavations of Pompeii may vary from day to day depending on the opening of certain offices, depending on the turnout. A visit to one building per category is guaranteed: 1 Temple, 1 Market, 1 Shop, 1 Villa, 1 Spa, 1 Theatre and the Forum. The choice of buildings visited is determined from time to time by the guide according to attendance, waiting times in case of long queues, opening times of the buildings.
The tour includes a visit to a cameo factory, the cameo is a typical Roman jewel found during excavations at Herculaneum and Pompeii in 1748. In the factory you will see a craftsman at work, the cameo is a jewel made from shells and precious stones and is engraved by hand by the craftsman. The visit to the factory will allow you to use the toilets free of charge before entering the excavations, so the stop at the cameo factory as well as being informative is essential in terms of managing the visit to the excavations of Pompeii.
